I want to chop my hair off. I want a slightly shaggy boy cut. I want to send the braid off to Locks of Love. I currently have about 14" long, braided, so even longer ponytailed.

I want to know how long the waiting period should be on a decision like this.

I want to know if you think it will look good.

Oh. Right. I'll get on that. I look a little like this shot of Eowyn, though. Similar hair and face shape. I've been wearing my hair pulled back tight in a braid for YEARS. I never use my long hair.
