I want to chop my hair off. I want a slightly shaggy boy cut. I want to send the braid off to Locks of Love. I currently have about 14" long, braided, so even longer ponytailed.

I want to know how long the waiting period should be on a decision like this.

I want to know if you think it will look good.

Coming from the Long-Haired Kingdome (spelled with an "e" on purpose) myself, I know what a pain in the ass it can be, and I know how much it would freak everyone out to have it dramatically cut.

I wish I had the courage. Alas, it is not so. But if you can see yourself doing it, and your a little bit scared but more excited about the outcome, do it. It *does* grow back. And now's the time in life to do something a little crazy with it (since in your 80's, it probably won't sound nearly so appealing.) You are braver than I! Cut it and dye it BLUE!

(...the blue part is optional...but that would be kind of cool...:::snicker:::)
