Take your pick...
The "[name] looks like" Google meme has brilliant results for me. There are only two, you see. In order,
"M----- looks like your guy."
"M----- looks like Scarlett O'Hara!"
I'm terribly pleased by that.
In more important news, I'm in the Homeland, journeying back on the 25th, when I anticipate a splendidly spacious Greyhound ride.
21st: Solstice party at House 2.0.
23rd: Christmas (observed) at the Old Homestead.
25th: Back to the wetlands.
Sorry for the total lack of updating or keeping up with anyone. I've survived my first quarter of grad school!

Hurrah!
I think my first semester was the worst because I didn't know what was happening to me. Certainly there were semesters where things were more high-stakes, or where I had to do more work, but nothing compared to the first semester in terms of psychological trauma.

I apologize for not getting back to you on the phone last Friday... apparently, I merely thought I would have a moment to sit still and talk at a reasonable hour, and didn't acually manage to do it.
My office is closed from 23 December through 3 January. Perhaps we can find some time for hot chocolate, or food, and chat between those dates?
