Meanwhile, in the world...
Aug. 26th, 2011 11:50 amWith the new very very very long commute I haven't been as plugged into following events as usual. Let the record show that I'm at least dimly aware of politics in Tripoli and weather on the East Coast. :(
I just don't know what I can say of any use on either topic, let alone all the other stuff that's been scrolling off the page faster than I can read it since the turn of the year. I don't want to "just stick to my knitting" (ha), I'm just overloaded by the world and my own brain chemistry.
Also, in critical reading, I just reread the second volume of Fables and I wish I could remember my reactions from the first time I read it to compare. This time around, their choice of a new Farm administrator after the rebellion made me so angry I could spit. I'm trying to remember if I caught it last time, and I'm still not sure if the authors realized how poorly that axle was mended. (Hint, when the rebellion was about underrepresentation and imprisonment of non-humanoid citizens, YOU DON'T HIRE AN UNDERQUALIFIED HUMAN.)
