The Hipster PDA is a personal data assistant that consists of a stack of 3x5 cards and a binder clip. There are a number of customizable options inherent in this design, and it is significantly cheaper than an electronic PDA.
I am looking for a few volunteers to test this, as well as input from any of you who are already using this or a similar system. Possible volunteer types:
"I just can't keep track of my stuff."
"I use eight different systems and it's complicated."
"I've tried using PDAs but they just sit in a drawer."
"I love my PDA but I'm willing to play guinea pig."
In other words, ANYONE. You are not immune. Join us.
If you would like to try using the Hipster PDA for a week or two, and answering some questions about how it works for you, please comment back to this with your e-mail address or write to marileeg@u.washington.edu. If you're willing to answer questions by e-mail or phone, you may not have to be local to participate. The study will probably start late next week. This is a small study for class and has not gone through Human Subjects Review, but we promise to let you stop at any time.
And yes, I'll be trying it too. (Thanks to
eeyorerin for turning me on to this.
datavore, I'll also be trying the crazy filing system in conjunction.)
