Trackball quest
Jul. 13th, 2006 03:07 pmI've been meaning, for the last 18 months, to purchase a trackball. I've gone to stores three or four times with the intention of getting a trackball. On the most successful of those occasions I found that both Cap Hill's computer store and Best Buy only offer trackballs with a base helpfully molded to conform to your right hand, which really puts a crimp in switching hands to distribute the stress or being lefthanded.
I'm reluctant to just buy something online without a very good recommendation, and I'd really rather just go to a store where I can touch them. Where did all the trackballs go? Were they a three year trend that someone decided just wasn't profitable enough anymore? If you were me, where would you go?
Sitting update: Every day, and I got me a real live official sitting pillow which makes it MUCH easier on my back than the makeshift pillow stacks I was making before. Still not Buddha.
Work update: There are only so many pictures of David Beckham and Paris Hilton you can look at before your hand starts twitching for the spork. Then you get a nice ambiguous word like "Explode" and you want to go back to the Paris Hilton pictures.
