Life! Zoo! Swimming upstream!
Jul. 12th, 2009 06:03 pmWow. I, um, checked my physical mail for the first time in a few months as usual and it turns out everyone in the universe is getting married this August. Most particularly, a couple of Clarkstonites are wedding on the evening of Friday, August 7.
If I need to, I'll book a flight and get there that way. But if anyone else from this side of the mountains was going to drive over, I could drive over with you and we would have company. I pay my fair share of fuel. I have parental crash space and could arrange some for my chauffeur if necessary.
----
Birthdays update: The zoo was great fun. The Webley events were great fun, and Camp Tomato totally ruled this year. I got to feel like one of the mellow old people who does a lot more sitting back and relaxing than chucking tomatoes. I did a lot of vigilance against Team X, though, who was throwing flour at people (a dirty trick) and decorating all the signs with large black tape X marks.
I will probably suffice myself with just one more birthday potluck, mid-August.
Work update: Productivity improving, in that now I have concrete tasks and know how far behind I am on them, which is a much more tractable problem than "not doing anything."
