Embroidery in Seattle? and NYE
Jan. 3rd, 2012 08:55 amDear lazyweb,
I've tried the Internet and it's not helping very much this time. Where in Seattle should I go to get a big question mark embroidered on my shirt lapels? A stock font would be great (and I presume cheaper), as I'm really not that concerned with screen accuracy.
In other news:
I enjoyed the Nerdvana NYE party immensely this year, and felt much better socialized for having attended. I got in the cuddle pile for the first time this year, and it was spectacular! Then I was wiped out for the entire next day. I don't drink alcohol, and did drink plenty of water. I have no idea how people who add alcohol to that mix can even stand up the next day.
I had a fantastic date with a new person that I hope to see more of. The endorphin high lasted over 24 hours. I could do with this much, much more often. Also he treated me unequivocally as a guy, as a guy that he wanted, which recharged my gender energy to the point that I could go to NYE in glorious flirty girl mode without feeling conflicted. With my new 1/4" long hair.
One of my dearest friends from college stayed at my house the nights before and after NYE, because I took the initiative of asking her when she would be in town. Initiative is surprisingly rewarding.
2011 retrospective: Getting fired was the best large life change to happen to me in a long time. I have a much better handle on initiative and the fact that falling on my face will not be fatal. These were good lessons.
