G'morning! Pride, sitting
Jun. 30th, 2006 09:36 amOne of the things that I remembered meaning to post about: I didn't go to the Pride parade this year because I got heat stroke standing at the bus stop. Coming from one of the hottest bits of Eastern Washington, this felt Lame. Moral: don't try to wear a corset you're not accustomed to in 92F weather at a shadeless bus stop. Second Moral: stop trying to wear The Uniform, your armor will not protect you, just go in a t-shirt and jeans next time instead of trying to be Queerest Kid On The Block.
Sitting update: 20 minutes again this morning, a higher pillow helped with the back soreness (though there's still a little that I think is just muscles retraining from slouching), and instead of claustrophobia I got itching and drowsiness today. But I didn't scratch, and I just kept refocusing my eyes and correcting my posture instead of letting myself keel over. Still not Buddha.
