Zoo day this friday, and Jason Webley!
Jun. 29th, 2009 02:26 pmIn honor of my birthday, I am going to Woodland Park Zoo on this Friday, July 3rd. I have the day off, and I suspect you do too. I intend to enter the zoo promptly at 9:30 in the morning.
Also in honor of my birthday and joy in general, I'm going to Jason Webley's Elevenniversary concert Friday evening, 8pm. At the moment, the people I can remember promising tickets to are: Me, J,
meowse,
arjache,
cinnamonteal, and
garillama. Conveniently, that uses up all my tickets. However, that means if I promised tickets to someone I don't remember, I have a social situation to resolve. If I have forgotten a ticket promise, please let me know immediately so I can work something out. Conversely, if you can't use your ticket, holler!
I will spend Saturday celebrating patriotism and stuff by sleeping a lot.
Noon on Sunday I will go back to celebrating birthdays and performance art at Jason Webley's Camp Tomato, which does not require tickets, but does suggest bringing a donation, cheap tomatoes, and clothing you don't mind getting tomato on. (Capture the Tomato is the best game EVER.) It should be a relaxed time at the park, and you don't have to get in the splatter zone if you don't want to.
Comment or call if you want to let me know you'll be joining me for one or more of these birthday events!

Bonus post: Pride
Pride was awesome. My heart is full.
We got swept up in the parade. I got many compliments on my lack of shirt. I made a security guard at the Space Needle nervous by standing around too near the vanilla tourists in only jeans, suspenders, and duct tape.* I felt awesome, looked awesome, napped on the grass in the sun with my girlfriend, and lived on sausage, cherries, and french toast.
Then there was birthday dinner with dear friends, and I went home and fell down utterly exhausted. Life is good.
* Yes, there are pictures. They're in the camera, with all the other pictures I haven't gotten around to posting. If you're local and want to see these pictures hit the Internet, schedule an evening with me to hold my hand and go through the basic selection and cropping tasks, k?
