The Vacation
I've just spent a lovely 48 hours with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cinnamonteal. She fed me sumptuously as always, showered me with lovely sundries, accepted my sundries with appropriate ooh and ahh noises, and took me to Mardi Gras at the Mercury, where she belly danced at me most attractively. Damn, that woman can move.

In conclusion, being drunk is interesting and pleasant, and with enough water in my system I suffer no ill effects. On the other hand, I can achieve many of the same positive effects by soaking energy from a large crowd at a party, so while I may do it again some time, I have no immediate plans to do so.

Most amusing event at the Mercury: I recognized someone and said hello, then realized (far, far too late) that I was recognizing one of my top OKCupid matches that I'd never met. But hey, we do in fact get along well, so the system seems to work. Cool, huh?
Today, after watching a bit more Buffy (ahem), we hauled all my bags down to the convention center, where I learned that Mary did not bring her car. Fortunately,plantae is a very kind plant and was available with her vehicle to grab my stuff curbside and take it back to the apartment. Biomass will be the base of operations for the remainder of my stay.
Giant library conference, here I come.
