Well, I'm back.

Advance notice, I'm saying this all wrong and it's hackneyed and obvious. Live with it.

I came home from RotK, and the house was empty, so I proceeded straight to my teen sister's choir concert, already in progress. I stood at the back, in the dark, and listened to the (non-audition) concert band, which sounds like high school concert bands everywhere. And I looked at all the nice, normal, small town hobbi people in the seats, and I realized again.

I left this place six years ago. I pulled up stakes, I packed my things, and I left for good. I've been back for eighteen months, but I'm never really back. You can't go home.

I feel it close to constantly, and usually it feels good. Progressive. Onward and upward. I save and I plan and I prepare and I dream of going back to the Emerald City, and I never properly live here. I can't anymore.

I never thought I would stand in this place. It hurts really bad.

Damn Peter Jackson for spelling it out for me again in letters ten feet tall.

It's hard to put a small-town girl who's seen the big city back into a small town. It starts turning into a John Cougar Mellencamp song reeaal fast. Well, soon enough you'll be back where you feel at home (or at least, at ease), and hopefully you won't start viewing us Seattlites as hobbits too. ;p I may be short, but dammit, my feet ain't that hairy!

Stupenducious. Lemme know ASAP and I'll get on it. Now, I assume you'll be coming to Seattle first, or will you want to go to Portland straight from where you are? That's a lot of Greyhound to bus to Seattle, then turn around, bus to Portland, then back up to Seattle, then back to Clarkston. oO;; I suppose it'll depend on when the Changeling days are.

To Seattle for NYE, down to Portland on the 1st or 2nd, depending on Changeling schedule, back up to Seattle no earlier than the 4th, date negotiable (I'd prefer something I can redeem flexibly, whic I seem to recall is the case with Greyhound tickets).

Umm, lately, there is no Changeling being run in Seattle or Everett. Sadly. I don't have time, Matthew is dropping Garou, not about to take up another...

Sorry, LARP. The evil pushers have reminded me that I still have a decent-sized stake in the Cam storyline that's running at the NW convention in Portland this year. I'm a sucker and I know it, clap your hands!

You need to stop by my place on Jan 1st for Rickie's costume. I know you (or your character) will have trouble dressing him up for a wedding.

So I have designated my character as the one to dress him. And due to my impecible taste and ability to pack rat, I have found teh perfect outfit for Rickie. All you need is a good pair of slacks and shoes. I'll take care of the rest.
