Oh dear...

That reminds me. There. "Character sadism" added as an interest. That's my desire to see fictional characters horribly abused, if you happen to share that tendency...
On the packing front, if there's anything of mine that you've ever had an eye on, now's the time to ask. I've been packing for long enough that I'm ready to join the Socialists and give away all my obviously unnecessary possessions, which is to say all of them. (Actually, I'll move most of them to Seattle anyway, then try to give them away to people there.)

Pens please! :D :D :D
I'm sorry!
Date: 2004-03-23 02:23 pm (UTC)Bad news on gel pens: Since you didn't jump on them when I brought them over to your house, I let my stepsister take them all gone. I've only got my dozen hand-picked favorites left.

Date: 2004-03-24 09:13 am (UTC)I'm really sorry about the pens! I brought them to your house and I waved them in front of you and then we played games and you didn't mention them again... Sorry.

Re: less stuff to move
Re: the batik throw, my sister snagged it from me years back now. Dang it, you people have a great eye for the stuff I'm willing to give away, you just picked all the things I've already GIVEN! Pick something else. ;P
Re: less stuff to move
Date: 2004-03-25 01:01 pm (UTC)So I was making a brazen stab in the dark that someone w similar tastes would also have a cool batik/tapestry throw thing. :D
Oh and I'm Vanessa from Texas. hi!

I agree - Character sadism
Date: 2004-03-26 11:37 pm (UTC)Which do you like more - a "bad" fictional character who ends up horribly abused and you enjoy the revenge of somebody deserving, or do you more enjoy an innocent character horribly abused?
I like both. However, for some reason I don't enjoy it nearly as much when an average joe fictional character is horribly abused.

Date: 2004-04-02 01:18 pm (UTC)When I said I was on LJ, you DIDN'T SAY YOU WERE. Sneak.
Innocent character, as long as it's not horrible injustice. They have to volunteer.
By the way, fellow readers, this is my absolutely bestest friend from middle school, the gold standard LMG. (No, you don't know what an LMG is, and I'm not going to tell you.)
Re: I agree - Character sadism
Date: 2004-04-02 05:53 pm (UTC)Doesn't that kind of contradict the meaning of being horribly abused? If you want it, does it even count as abuse - let alone, "horrible" abuse?
Or do you mean when an innocent character volunteers in order to save another?
Wow, I'm a gold standard. Cool. :)
Re: I agree - Character sadism
Date: 2004-04-02 09:20 pm (UTC)Yes, that would be precisely the kind of horrible choice I relish. "It's just not fair" isn't nearly as poignant as "I have to do this."
