Make my day
Feb. 2nd, 2005 01:26 pmI brought my big blue sitting ball (Rover) to work, so I can bounce and work and sway and work and generally not fossilize in one position, which should be good for my arms. It's drawing some comments, but I'm not the first person in this office to have tried one, so it's mostly "how is that working for you?"
One nurse coming through, who we see about every two weeks, asked me about it, and I explained, which made me wiggle because I was thinking about it.
She said, "And you're a dancer, too."
I started to regretfully correct her. Then I realized she knows I tango. I dance. I've been dancing for eight months. One of my labels in this person's head is Dancer.
lunar__angel, among other people, will understand how much this means to me.

Date: 2005-02-02 10:57 pm (UTC)The only drawback (given how often I run to the fax machine) is that I have to sit down and stand up rather more consciously, rather like getting on and off of a horse rather than flopping into a chair.
