Fair warning (important): I've been fighting a very sore throat with slight runny nose for a few days. Someone kindly compared my husky voice to Marlene Dietrich today, though I believe I am leaning more toward Leonard Cohen. I'm past the reasonable contagion point (no fever since Tuesday), and I don't intend to handle the food or drool infectiously on my guests (hurhurhur), but if you are immuno-compromised or live with someone of that description, visiting me would not be wise.

If you're scared off by the possibility of catching the Leonard Cohen voice, or if something else has come up, please change your RSVP so I have a current idea of who to expect. Thanks!

P.S. Never fear, for I am almost out of school and soon may invite people over to celebrate my emancipation. You shall see me again, even if you can't make it tomorrow.

I had a vicious cold yesterday and the day before, so it's probably too late for poor immuno-compromised Nibs. All the same, between your sore throat, ten cubic yards of bark mulch, and a wide variety of other balls in the air, I must regretfully bow out.
