So, most of my friends are grown-ups with lives, but if anyone is reading this and wants to join me for the 1:00 pm showing of Prince Caspian at the Metro, give a call on my cell so I know to look for you there. (I'm going with or without an escort.)

I decided to stay home from work, not because I'm overwhelmingly sad (I'm not) but because I'm definitely still in an altered state. I toggle between staring at things blankly, feeling very sleepy, and giggling hysterically. I suppose I might accurately be described as "high on death." There goes the giggling again.

Probably best that I'm not at work. So I'm going to Prince Caspian, which made [livejournal.com profile] maribou cry. She's a reliable reviewer whose responses match mine, so hopefully I can reconnect to some emotion there.

Huh. If I had seen this earlier, I would have joined you.

Unfortunately, I wasn't online later at all, either. :-/ Oh, well.

It was okay. I watched it with a bouncy 13-year-old, was still emotionally disconnected, and had a large chunk of my analytical brain trying to remember the plot of the original book, so I'll need to see it again.

But my overall impression is that it was an excellent Narnia movie.
