Birthday delights so far
Jun. 4th, 2009 09:30 am- She draws a comic strip called Brain Comics, which is the absurdist adventures of two disembodied brains and a moose who run a mad science lab.
- I write honor porn (and actual porn) about an 18th century vampire nobleman and his middle-class human boyfriend. They primarily speak French, though the vampire has a lot more languages.
- She and I have written a crossover between Torchwood and my boys. Torchwood is sci-fi drama set in Cardiff, Wales.
The best birthday card ever in the history of the world.
Other delights:
- From my mom, an Archie McPhee's care package containing rainbow monkey bandaids, librarian tattoos, bacon-flavored floss, and a Tickles the Tapeworm eraser.
- From my dad, funding to finish saving up for a corset. I sold him on this because the rest of the money was a prior present from his very Seventh Day Adventist parents, and I knew the irony would make him cackle.
- From
meowse, Kiva credit, when he hadn't read the LJ post where I asked for some. He just knows me that well. - From J, a nice dinner out with an ice cream sundae for dessert, and he took out the yard waste when it was my turn.
- From several others, kind birthday comments and calls and offers of tasty potluck food when I schedule my party.
- From myself, 140' of MFP rope and 200' of lacing cord, because I just might have a Rope Problem.
Past celebratory events: Cookout on Memorial Day, actual natal day.
Future celebratory events:
- Potluck (unscheduled yet)
- Playing Hooky from Work to Go to the Zoo (unscheduled yet, I'll have a poll soon)
- Jason Webley concert July 3rd, Center Left section (did I mention Amanda Palmer of Dresden Dolls will be there?)
- Jason Webley's Camp Tomato July 5th (Tomato fight!)
- private dinner with my sweethearts.
I suppose that's enough birthday for one year.
I *suppose* that's enough birthday for one year.
