Time since I've read LJ: 2 weeks? 3? I caught up just before the 3rd episode of Dr. Who aired, having finally watched the second half of the opener.

Time since I've been employed: 3 months.

Volunteer gigs I've committed to but not finished following through yet: 3.

Times I was That Guy on the Internet last week and just can't even believe I did that: 1. Ow. I obsess about these things far longer than is healthy and productive, to the point of still losing sleep and focus a week later. I can remember specific incidents of that particular kind of "oh god I did that" back to high school. I don't know how to let them go. Very annoying.

Anti-anxietals my doc has put me on (again): 2. It seems to be working, or at least my taking them has been immediately correlated with my getting masses of important house stuff done.

Landlord dramas: 1, kind of a big one, currently working out positively. Old (increasingly dangerous) handyman poured WATER in our OIL TANK for no discernable reason. Fortunately I happened to look out back a few minutes later. Also fortunately, the landlord's taking it seriously and actually having someone else do all work on our house from this point out.

Countdown to landlord visiting to talk seriously about catching up on house maintenance: "Within 4 weeks." He doesn't live in town and sounds honestly frustrated and contrite about letting things slide so long. Therefore, if we can make ourselves look like classy adults instead of cluttered students before he shows up, the contrast between our classy contents and deteriorating environment will be more effective.

Countdown to mathom party: Sooooooon. As I'm unemployed, if you ping me to make a date and come look at stuff pretty much any time, I'm good.

Stuff I'd like to see in good homes:

Cheap guitar in expensive case. It was a lot of fun trying to learn, and a treasured gift, and a lot of fun shopping for a case that probably cost more than the guitar, but at this point if I try learning again, we're talking years, so it needs to find a more loving and active environment. Yes, it's ok if you want it for the case.

Full box of Dr. Who Target novelisations, stack of Dr. Who trading cards, stack of New Adventures. (No, I'm keeping the Paul Cornells, nyeh.) Apparently the cards are worth a fair bit, as are some of the Targets, but I have NO idea or interest in doing the eBay dance. If someone else wants them just to personally enjoy them, they're free to you. If someone else wants them to sell, please send me a cut. :)

Chainmail knitting supplies. About 10 pounds of loose copper rings and two pair of pliers.

Pile of comics and geek books, and some pretty but impractical blank books. No, I'm not getting rid of everything I own, just finally living the dream of getting rid of a third of it. The third I really won't miss.

There will be more. That was just two days' work.

Yay getting masses of stuff done!

Re: remembering stupid/boneheaded/wrongheaded stuff for way longer than it's probably relevant, I was just dwelling on something like that the other day. Not sure what, and not going to try to recall it for concern of having it come back in force, but yeah, that sucks.

Re: Stuff!
I am extremely interested in the chainmail supplies and could probably cover shipping on them (would have to double check with [livejournal.com profile] gipsieee but I think that it would work. (The main reason I have not been making much in the way of ring-based craft lately is a shortage of rings and not enough time to make them and not enough patience to buy them...)

Any chance you could put together a more descriptive list of the "pile of comics and geek books"? It sounds tempting, but I probably don't want the whole pile... ~wry grin~

Totally not slamming [livejournal.com profile] gement's supplies, but theringlord.com sells cut rings for lower than you can buy the raw materials, fwiw. Doesn't address the patience issue, I grant you, but if your impatience means you're waiting more than three days to find the time, well...
